Four people sustained gunshot wounds when a vehicle opened fire outside a licensed venue in Loganholme, Queensland, on Saturday evening.

Officers arrived at Fitzys Loganholme on Bryants Road at 8.15 pm after receiving reports of shots fired from a car. The vehicle was observed leaving the area before police secured the scene. All four injured individuals were transported to a hospital for treatment, and medical staff are currently assessing their conditions.

The establishment was hosting the Logan City Titles Fight Night, an event intended to showcase local boxing talent. Queensland Police Deputy Commander Chris Stream described the scene as confronting. He confirmed that multiple people suffered bullet wounds during the incident.

Logan Mayor Jon Raven stated that residents in the area are frightened by the event. Raven told the Today program, "This has sent a shockwave through Logan. We've never seen something like this in Logan before." He noted that he has attended similar functions in the past and characterized them as family-friendly environments with many children present.

Raven added that the shooting would affect the community for years to come. "This will impact them for the rest of their lives," he said. The mayor explained that the night was organized to steer children away from violence. He described the organizer as a person who uses boxing to empower young people who might be struggling, stating, "This is the opposite of what he'll want to see."

The Logan City Titles organizers issued a statement on social media on Sunday morning. They described the incident as a shock to the community and noted that the event was designed to highlight local hard work and skill inside the ring. The group wrote, "These types of incidents have no place in the boxing community or any part of the broader community."

Police said the offenders remain at large. Authorities do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public and have asked anyone with information to come forward.
