The Yashar party leader accuses Prime Minister Netanyahu of endangering Israel's savings through a proposed blockchain finance mechanism.

150 billion shekels is the amount Gadi Eisenkot says stands to be lost if the government proceeds with its proposed digital finance strategy. The Yashar party chairman released a campaign video on Saturday, October 24, in which he argues that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s plan to prepare for an alternative economy signals a total economic failure.
The advertisement opens with the warning that all national money is at risk. It then cuts to footage from a Channel 10 interview where Netanyahu stated that Israel must prepare for an alternative economy due to mounting international sanctions. The former IDF chief used these clips to frame the government's contingency planning as an admission of defeat.
A central focus of the critique is the role of blockchain technology. Netanyahu told Channel 10 that digital finance would certainly form part of his plan and that he had already requested a specific proposal. Eisenkot’s team mocked this element by branding it Bibicoin. They argued that such a mechanism would destroy the country, creating an economy similar to those of North Korea and Iran.
The video claims this shift would mark the end of high-tech, healthcare, and security. It poses a specific question to the global market: how can the high-tech industry invest in Israeli companies if digital currency is the only available method? The ad concludes with the directive that leaders must not burn through the nation's savings.
In a separate post on X, Eisenkot adopted a more personal tone. He wrote that Netanyahu admits his policy leads to international isolation and sanctions that will shake the economy and the market. Eisenkot characterized this trajectory as the collapse of national security.
The political debate now centers on Netanyahu’s economic contingency thinking. Eisenkot has used the prime minister’s own words from the Channel 10 interview as the primary evidence for his criticism. The Yashar leader positions his party as the guardian of the country's financial reserves against what he describes as a dangerous pivot toward digital currency.
The next step in the campaign is the continued distribution of the video on social media platforms. Eisenkot’s team plans to use the Bibicoin label in upcoming rallies and digital ads to keep the focus on the financial risks of the government's proposal. The opposition aims to make the 150 billion shekel figure a central talking point in the election cycle.
